Trouble shooting for Map Magic.
Issue
Sometimes Map Magic and ArcView do not communicate properly due to some automatic features not functioning.
Explanation
When having trouble using Map Magic with ArcView, there are a couple of trouble shooting steps that can be taken to fix the problem.
Solution
First, you want to make sure you have the Map Magic extention selected in ArcView. This Knowledge Base Article will provide the steps to do this.
If you do not have the choice to chose Map Magic in the above process, there is another procedure you may try.
1) Go to UtilitiesConfigurationForceUpdate.
2) Select “Yes”, and this will run a forced update of your imw.ini file.
3) To check that the proper file was added to run ArcView, open Arcview and select FileExtentions and check to see that Map Magic is offered.
