Antenna House license

Issue

The Crash Magic program utilizes a third-party product in order to create (print) PDF output of its reports. This article describes how to set/update the license for that product when hosting Crash Magic on your in-house server. This article does not apply to clients for whom Pd’ Programming hosts Crash Magic at GovernmentTools.com.

Explanation

In order to be able to “print” to PDF from within Crash Magic, the program requires the installation of a third party product called AntennaHouse XSL Formatter.  When purchasing a license for Crash Magic, a single license for AntennaHouse Formatter is included.  When utilizing a multi-server configuration (e.g. DEV/QA/TEST/PROD), a separate license must be installed to each of the running machines.  Special, discounted licenses for non-production servers are available through Pd’ Programming and should not be purchased directly from AntennaHouse.

Solution

AntennaHouse licenses are tied to a specific version of the AntennaHouse software. Licenses are contained in a file named AHFormatter.lic and must be placed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Antenna House\AHFormatterV70 folder on the appropriate server. The file may be updated while Crash Magic is running.
