Error "Failed to execute FO converter" when trying to create a PDF.

Background:  When selecting a print preview in Crash Magic the a user will receive the error Failed to execute FO converter

Explanation:

During the installation of Crash Magic several tools used by Crash Magic are also installed. One of these tools is a FO converter. This tool converts FO documents to PDF documents. The standard install of this tool uses fonts from the C:\Windows\Fonts\ directory. Some versions of windows have a different directory structure.

When the Crash Magic Configuration Editor is closed, the file locations are updated for Crash Magic. If the Configuration Editor is left open, or if the editor is not allowed to update the file locations errors can occur. 



Solution:
To resolve this issue stop Crash Magic if running as a service, or stop the application pool if running under IIS. Open the Crash Magic Configuration Editor. Then close the Crash Magic Configuration Editor. This will allow the configuration editor to correct the files used by Crash Magic. Now restart Crash Magic. The issue should now be resolved.
