User receives an error message stating trial period has expired or no active database when using the IMW Editor.
When starting up the IMW Editor in Intersection Magic, the following error(s) occur(s):
“Trial period for this program has expired” and/or “No active database”.
The best work around at this time is to create a shortcut on the desktop to open the IMW Editor outside of the Intersection Magic program. The following steps show how to do this:
1) Right click on the IMW icon on the desktop and move away from the image (while keeping the right clicker held down). Release the mouse button and you will be asked if you want to “copy here” or “move here”. Select copy.
2) Right click over the new icon created and select properties.
3) Change the end of the Target name from imw.exe to imwedit.exe
4) Select apply at the bottom of the window, then o.k. to exit.
Now you can run the IMW Editor outside of the program.
