What the AUTO directory is for

The default installation of IMW does not create the AUTO directory. It must be added manually using the file manager or DOS shell. The AUTO directory must be created as a sub-directory of the active DATA directory (i.e. C:\MAGIC\DATA\AUTO). Each time the program starts up, it scans the AUTO directory for known file types. All known file types are then loaded into IMW automatically. This behavior will occur each time the program is started. The AUTO directory is a useful means of remembering what was last being worked on. Simply save any current diagrams in the AUTO directory before exiting the program. The next time the program starts up, all of those diagrams will be loaded. |
