Viewing scanned images

Intersection Magic can display scanned images internally, or in an external viewer.  In most cases, an external viewer will be preferable until the program supports long file names.  To use the external viewer, select Utilities / Configuration / Default settings / Sys settings.  There you can specify the prefix and suffix given to the case id number when generating the file of the image.  You can also specify a file extension.  The default directory for storing these images is the "magic\data\recimage directory on the client machine.  To change this, close the program and edit the IMW.INI file in your data directory.  Change the line that says: RecImagesDir= to point to the directory where your images are stored.

To view the scanned image, click on the crash in a diagram (or use Reports / Listings / Individual accident) and click on the "i" button in the dialog box.  This will launch the program associated the file extension that you specified for your images.
