Introduction. This chapter provides an overview of the applications of the program and a general introduction to its use.

Getting Started. This chapter explains some basic terms and features in the program. It also describes how to invoke the install program. Once the program is installed, Intersection Magic allows the user easy use of the program with little use of documentation. The manual is designed to give you different levels of support, no matter what your computer comfort level. Virtually the entire manual is also available throughout the help system. Using the help system to access the manual allows key-word searches, bookmarks, and click-on jumps to related topics.

. The Intersection Magic Tutorial. This chapter is laid out to walk you through IMW using the most common features of the program. This is an excellent hands-on explanation of the use of the program utilizing a city called and its database of accidents.

Menu Guide. The menu guide outlines the Intersection Magic program options. Every menu option is described and cross-referenced.

Charts. This chapter describes all of the chart types that Intersection Magic has available. It also describes how to use the charting tools and options.

Filters. This chapter describes the use and creation of filters. Intersection Magic uses filters to perform ad-hoc queries, create custom reports, charts and to customize collision diagrams.

Schematics. This chapter describes the use, modification and creation of schematics. The is they template used to generate a collision diagram. The schematics in Intersection Magic are user-customizable and are capable of representing any location(s) for which data is available.

Program Files. This chapter describes all of the file types that Intersection Magic uses. It also describes the relationship between files and what needs to be checked if any configuration file has been edited.

Creating a Configuration. This chapter provides step-by-step instructions on setting up the database files and importing data into Intersection Magic. This section is designed to walk you through the installation process if a configuration was not purchased with the program. It also explains how the program works internally, and how to modify the behavior that has been defined in your configuration.

Reference Guide. This chapter provides the information you need to run the program if you want more detail than the tutorial provides. It reviews the use of features and commands in IMW. This is where to find hot keys, mouse options, dialog box descriptions, details about the Chart Magician and some program shortcuts.

IMWEDIT Program. This chapter provides information regarding the data editor / data entry program. It includes it's own overview, setup, and menus section.
