The sliding spot dialog box is used to specify the settings for a sliding spot report. The sliding spot report lists the road segments with high accident counts. Each segment of road is checked for the number of accidents between two points (hundred-block or mile marker). This report may be configured to run two basic ways: slide, or frequency. Performing a slide results in the examination of multiple overlapping road segments. A frequency results in examining the road by breaking it down into equal parts of <spot size>.
