The chart is a point chart that shows the relationships between numeric values in several series, or two groups of numbers as one series of x-y coordinates. The variations below can be done through accessing the Options dialog box.

2D Scatter: shows the relationship or degree of relationship between numeric values in several series, or plot two groups of numbers as one series of x-y coordinates. This chart is available from the toolbar or from the Options / General dialog box, under the Gallery type. Also make sure that Point Markers is checked under the Options / Series dialog boxes.

3D Scatter: same as 2D Scatter only the points are shown in 3D. Changing from 2D to 3D is done from the toolbar or the Options / 3D View dialog boxes. This chart is available from the toolbar or from the Options / General dialog box, under the Gallery type. Also make sure that Point Markers is checked under the Options / Series dialog boxes. Please refer to Point type on how to change the point forms.

3D Clustered Scatter: same as 3D Scatter only that each series is positioned in a different row. 3D Cluster is available under the Options / General dialog boxes.

Scatter with lines: Scatter charts can also be shown with connected lines.
