Creating a change streets file

A change streets file may be created manually by typing in each of the desired changes.  This will take a long time.

A nicer way of creating this file is to use the Listing - Streets in database option under the Reports menu.

Running this report will produce a list of all the streets in the database.  One street on each line.  This list may then be modified by cutting and pasting the desired street names around the file.

Save the resulting file and use it as input to change streets(File/Save as  STRCHNG.txt). The file can be continually updated to include new street changes(Edit/Open edit window  Then select street changes file).

Note: a common misconception is that editing a change streets file results in the street names being changed.  No changes are made to the database until the change streets process is run, and the change streets file specified.
