Activating the help system

The help information system can be activated any time by selecting help from the main menu, pressing the F1 key or clicking on a help button in a dialog box.  In most cases, activating help will take the user directly to their point of interest.  When this is not the case, a table of contents, keyword search, and "hot links" are available.

For example, a user has selected the File / New diagram option and is at the primary street scroll box.  Clicking on the help button activates the help system and searches for SCROLL BOX as the keyword.  Perhaps the user really wanted help on STREET NAMES.  The user simply clicks on the search button and types "Street Names" into the search box.  The new information is then displayed.  This process continues until the user quits help or returns to the program.  Help will automatically close with the application if it is left running.
